Great shoes, using for avoiding slipping on ice and outside activities. It rained before it snowed, these provide really good traction. Have wore at temps of -26 C and regular socks and these are great.

If the H5s didn’t exist, this would be the hot shoe. They took a game or two to really break-in but once they did, the stop/start and change of directions were phenomenal. The biggest draw to me about these shoes compared to the H5 is the construction. The shoes look and feel well put together with greater toe, foot, and ankle support than the H5s. The lower band to cover laces was a great idea and the top band to secure your ankle is innovative. I look forward to Gecko further developing their broomball shoes after this product. These are my favorite shoes since the Acacia Trios.

I've been using these shoes for about 6 weeks now in a C/D leagues and so far they've exceeded expectations. The boot is pretty much exactly what I'd want in a high-top. The toe cover is hard and stiff with some interior padding, the sides are well-padded and overall the exterior is a solid canvas like material. The velcro straps are a great idea. The bottom strap keeps the laces nice and secure, which is a great for someone like me who likes to swap them out for different colors and sizes. The top strap is basically for securing the high-top of the boot as the laces stop at the ankle. I've grown to appreciate being able to quickly adjust that strap on the bench during a game. The straps could be better constructed though, the little orange strip of material on the end of the velcro and the stitching around it looks a bit shoddy. I had to replace my first pair because it popped all the stitching the fist time I laced it up. But so far no trouble with my current pair. Props to broomball.com for the quick turnaround on that! The tread has by far the best grip outside of the polarizing H5s. I've used almost every version of Blue Ox, D-Gel and Acacias at some point and time and these are noticeably better. I've been impressed with how well the tread as held up over the last several weeks as well. Haven't lost a single nub yet. I like that it's a much thicker pattern then most other shoes, I suspect that should help it last a bit longer than normal. Overall they took about 3/4 games to break in. As you might expect the grip is best when you can get your full weight flat across the whole shoe and initially the toe had a bit of a dome to it that took a few games to flatten out. Again, you're not going to get the straight up explosive start/stop of a H5, but I've actually had to adjust my stride and slides to take into account the better grip. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a solid all-around shoe.
